Hi Everyone! I hope this finds you all happy, blessed and enjoying cool weather! It rained today and brought the temperature down... I purposefully went outside and I was almost dancing in the rain! It was so nice! I am sure anyone who saw me was more than a little perplexed at my strange actions! Work I just wanted to give you a little update on the situation at work. I was sick for most of last week (am better now but still not 100%) so didn't go in to work. This was a little frustrating because I couldn't get any information about what was going on with the union/strike situation. When I finally returned to work I started asking questions and wasn't very surprised about the fact that people's stories had changed a little. Now the nurses are saying that the 23rd isn't the day that the strike was supposed to happen, but that it is the deadline for the government to respond to their demands. After which, if not met, a date will be set for the strike. I was very happy to hear this news. However, I don't want to let down my guard completely, since things are likely to change in an instant. :-) Your continued prayers in this matter are greatly appreciated! I will keep you up to date as soon as I hear anything. Sarah Rumor has it that Sarah's work permit has been approved, though I think the paperwork still needs to cross a few more people's desks. She is supposed to be getting on a plane one week from today, so that is very good news! I look forward to actually getting her here! Please pray for her as she is in her last week of getting things organized, sorted and taken care of. I remember how hard all that packing and those goodbyes can be! Rob Please pray for Rob and his family back in Canada, as his uncle passed away at the end of last week. His father (and brother) are away in Ecuador on a mission trip, so I can imagine that it is hard for all of them to be away from their family during this time of grieving. Mick & Suzanne Today Suzanne flew out with Hannah, their oldest, back to the States. Hannah will be settling in and adjusting to life for a few months until school starts in August. Please pray that their travel will go smoothly, that they won't have any major delays or problems with luggage or customs. Please also pray for the other 5 kids that have to say their goodbyes and watch her walk onto the plane. Please pray for Mick as he plays SuperDad over the next 6 weeks while Suzanne is gone, including dealing with Sarah (and another girl, Jessica) that are arriving and will need to be oriented and prepared to send to their locations. If Suzanne and Hannah go out for McDonalds I hope they enjoy some fries for me! :-) Or better yet, Mexican food! Some really good chicken nachos or steak fajitas with portobello mushrooms.... Ok, I need to stop fantasizing and come back to reality.... thinking about food is pure torture! The other day Rob & Alisa's older kids were playing 'drive up window'... It was awful! Asking me what I wanted, I told them that I would like a 9 piece chicken McNuggets with BBQ sauce, a large fry. Then I asked if they had Barqs Rootbeer, but they didn't, so I asked for a large Diet Dr Pepper. After I came home, all I could do was think about FOOD!!! I never imagined I would miss food this much!!! ha ha I love you guys and thank you for all of your prayers and support! hugs and kisses! kimmie Kimmie Tibbetts Serving the people of Namibia at the Rundu State Hospital
