I am serving in Namibia at the Rundu State Hospital.  I am currently working in the Paediatric Ward.  Rundu State Hospital is a 300-bed hospital that includes a high care center, emergency center, surgical ward, pharmacy, and multiple clinics.

My personal ministry is to do patient care in the hospital.   Aside from that my goal is to be involved in the encouragement and discipleship of believers working in the hospital.  I will also be involved in other ministries within the church as the time permits.

I am also focused right now on learning Rukwangali, one of the local languages.

Here is a part of a newsletter I received from Mick Rineer, Country Director for Namibia, on the current direction of ministry in Namibia:

Historically Namibia has had a long Christian witness.  That is evident by the many churches found throughout Namibia.  NEC believes that we should not consider ourselves as a church planting organization.  There are enough churches as various and diverse as they may be in their theology and practice.  We believe we are called to focus on discipleship of people - those already attending a church and seeking to disciples others into an existing church.

Who? Children & Youth (can be broadly defined here).

How?  Through Education & Medicine with the purpose of discipleship

Where? Rehoboth, Windhoek, Grootfontein, Rundu, Opuwo & Katima Mulilo will be our focus areas.

When?  For the next 5 years – through the end of 2010.

With Whom?  We are willing to work with other like minded churches and organizations
